About the Book
'B' is for Bruin is a hardcover picture book written for children ages 2–5 and the grown-ups who read with them. Its rhyming, read-aloud pages are made for little voices to join in and "read" along, while bright, original illustrations bring a whole community of characters to life. It's a first library staple, a baby-shower keepsake and a gift that grows with your family.
A Belmont Story
This book was made by our own community. It was co-authored by Rev. Susan Pendleton Jones, Belmont’s First Lady and a Senior Fellow in Belmont's Office of the President, and digital communications director and alumna Cara Baker Davis (‘00), and illustrated by Belmont alumna Marina Ibrahim ('24). Inspired by the children of Little Bruins Preschool, it reflects everything we love about early childhood at Belmont — faith, creativity and the belief that every child is a masterpiece.
