Biography

Dr. Greenwalt has been a physical therapist since 2002 and worked in a variety of practice settings, including acute care, outpatient rehab, and skilled nursing facilities. She has worked with National HealthCare Corporation since 2008 in several roles – staff physical therapist, rehabilitation director, mentor, and educator. Dr. Greenwalt is a Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist and was the first physical therapist in TN to have this certification.  She is also a Geriatric Clinical Specialist. Her areas of interest in patient care are cardiopulmonary conditions, geriatrics, and inpatient care.

Dr. Greenwalt has been a faculty member at Belmont since 2013.  Her teaching responsibilities include Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy, Pharmacotherapeutics, and Clinical Education. She has been a leader in interprofessional education across campus, assisted with admissions and interview days, and, in the past, served as the Director of Education. In 2024, Dr. Greenwalt was promoted to the School of Physical Therapy Chair.
