Biography

Hello! My name is Renease Perkins and I am the Assistant Director for Transfer Admissions. I am excited about your interest in Belmont and cannot wait to help you. I am a unicorn, a Nashville native and I am also a Belmont alum! I graduated from Belmont in 2007, majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Education. I then went on to earn my Master’s at Middle Tennessee State University (twice!), first in School Counseling and then in Higher Education Administration.

Before entering higher education, I worked as a school counselor in Metro-Nashville Public Schools. Then, within my time working in higher education, prior to coming to Belmont, I worked at Fisk University and Volunteer State Community College in different advising and counseling capacities. So, I understand the college-going experience from start-to-finish.

It is refreshing to know that all the things that drew me to Belmont as a student many years ago are still relevant today and what drew me back to work here. I certainly look forward to working with you in your college-going process and hope to see you at Belmont!

Renease works with prospective transfers from:

These states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C.
