Maren Bishop

Biography

For Maren, student success begins with connection. In more than 21 years at Belmont University, she has built systems that help students feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Her broad experience spans student support, enrollment management, and academic advising — giving her a unique perspective on how Belmont can care for students in thoughtful, effective ways. She has developed enrollment strategies for Belmont's nursing and music programs, fostered interdisciplinary collaboration to strengthen student support initiatives, and refined procedures to keep pace with students' evolving needs.

Since joining Belmont's Student Care & Support team in 2018, Maren has helped reshape — and continues to strengthen — how the university cares for its students. She has built a collaborative case management network and forged partnerships across campus to ensure compassionate, seamless care is available for all students.

In 2022, Maren received Belmont's highest staff honor, the Gabhart Award for Staff Excellence and Service, in recognition of her service to the university.

A proud Nashville native, Maren holds a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership and Communication from Belmont University and a Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
