Dr. Karlee Carney joined the Belmont University School of Pharmacy faculty in 2023 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Carney graduated ​Cum Laude from Harding University College of Pharmacy and received her Doctor of Pharmacy. After graduation, she completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Community-Based and PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at ARcare, a federally qualified health center in Searcy, Arkansas. She also completed a teaching and research certificate program through the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Carney's area of specialty is ambulatory care. As faculty in the School of Pharmacy, she teaches primarily in Pathophysiology and Therapeutics and Case Studies. Dr. Carney has a practice site at Neighborhood Health where she provides medication management via telehealth to patients with complex chronic disease states.  This practice site serves as an advanced pharmacy practice experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Carney's areas of research and professional interests include Women's Health, Hepatitis C, and serving the underserved.
