Josh Poorman

Biography

Joshua Poorman serves as Associate Vice President for Development and Co-Lead of University Advancement at Belmont University, where he provides strategic leadership for fundraising initiatives across the university's academic colleges and advancement programs. Throughout his career, Josh has held leadership and frontline roles spanning campaign management, principal and major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, and alumni engagement.

With more than 17 years of experience in higher education advancement, Josh has worked at a diverse range of institutions, including regional liberal arts, large public, nationally recognized top-50 liberal arts, and mid-major private. This broad experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of advancement strategy across varying institutional missions, cultures, and philanthropic environments.
