Biography
Dr. Jamie Shaffer is an accomplished higher education leader and educator with over two decades of experience spanning academic affairs, faculty development, student success, and medical education. Prior to accepting her current role, she served as the Director of Faculty Development & Engagement at FCoM, where she led strategic initiatives to support faculty growth, mentorship, and teaching excellence. Dr. Shaffer has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has contributed scholarly work on mentorship, social learning spaces, and faculty development. She also serves as the Book Review Editor for the Journal of Faculty Development. Dr. Shaffer holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and two additional degrees from Vanderbilt University.
