Biography

Dr. Sterling studied biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor in dance at Belmont University before earning her PhD at the University of Notre Dame where she studied Niemann Pick Type C Disease. Dr. Sterling loves finding new ways to engage students in the classroom, often taking inspiration from her husband's work at Christ the King School. Her current research is focused on expanding our understanding of lysosome storage disorders through various microscope techniques. Outside of Belmont, Dr. Sterling enjoys volunteering in her husband's classroom and playing Nintendo with her kids.
