College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences

Biography

As a first-generation student born and raised outside of Nashville in Mount Juliet, TN, Belmont has always been my dream school. I transferred to Belmont during my junior year to study mass communication & public relations and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in 2021. Shortly after graduation, I began working at Cumberland University as the Digital Media & Communications Manager where I managed the university's internal and external communications and social media channels. While at Cumberland, I earned my master’s degree in public service management with the goal of advancing my career in the nonprofit sector.

In November of 2023, I had the honor of joining the Bruin Family again, this time as a staff member. I currently serve as the Admissions Coordinator for the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (CLASS), the college that I called home during my time at Belmont. In my current role, I serve as the liaison between the Office of Admissions and CLASS. I lead the recruitment, marketing and communication efforts for 28 undergraduate and 3 graduate programs. My favorite part of my everyday work is speaking with students, especially those who have similar stories as first generation or transfer students.

I believe the liberal arts are a foundation for our lives and I have seen first-hand how a Belmont education shapes perspectives, while cultivating civility and character in our students who desire to make a difference in Nashville and beyond. CLASS' excellence is displayed every day through meaningful interactions with our faculty, life-changing study abroad opportunities, and purpose-driven internship and career placements. I look forward to meeting you and hearing more about your educational and career aspirations!
