Candace Thrash

Biography

Candace Thrash is an Embedded Faculty and Assistant Professor in the OTD program at Belmont University. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from The University of South Alabama and her post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She has experience working in skilled nursing, outpatient pediatrics and home health however her primary interest and experience has been with the pediatric population, specifically school-based therapy. Candace became Board Certified in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) in 2023. Her research interests are in effective interventions in school-based therapy, play-based learning, and children and families. In her time outside of work she enjoys reading and attending her children’s extracurricular activities.
