Biography

Dr. Amber Turner received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Tech, following an internship in community mental health at OhioGuidestone in Cleveland, Ohio. She then had a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she conducted assessments and helped disseminate evidence-based treatments to promote quality mental health care for children in the foster care system. Dr. Turner’s research interests include mental health factors and effective treatments for psychopathology. In her spare time, she can often be found listening to music and doing arts and crafts.
