About the Formation Collaborative
Belmont is a Christ-centered, student-focused community, dedicated to developing diverse leaders of purpose, character, wisdom and transformational mindset. Supporting this mission, the Belmont Formation Collaborative (BFC) partners with the campus community and beyond to foster whole-person formation. Launched in 2025 with support from The Kern Family Foundation and the Lilly Endowment’s Educating Character Initiative, the Belmont Formation Collaborative houses key formation offices and initiatives, supports strategic formation efforts across the university, and collaborates with partners to advance human flourishing.
- BFC offices and initiatives include BELL Core, WELL Core, Spiritual Formation, Formation Research, Teaching Center, Community-Engaged Service-Learning and Employee Leadership Development
- Strategic campus-wide formation efforts that the BFC supports include: Living with SOUL, SPARK Symposium and Hope Summit
- Key BFC partners on campus include the Student Success & Flourishing, Human Resources, and all 12 academic colleges
